This Tuesday, April 28 is a historic day as the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) will hear two cases where lower District courts have upheld the ban on same gender marriage. Rallies are being held across the United States including one in the Biggest Little City.
Reno’s Marriage Equality Rally is set for Tuesday Night, April 28 at 7 pm starting at Reno City Plaza, with a march to the iconic Reno Arch by participants. This is the fourth March for Marriage Equality in Reno with others for Light the Way to Justice when the highest court in the land heard the cases on DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) and California’s Proposition 8. There was a decision Day rally just before the court issued it ruling and there was one for when Nevada’s case was heard before the 9th District Court of Appeals.
Be Seen and heard NOT silent is the rally cry for this rally which proponents hope will bring Marriage Equality to every state. Those attending the rally are asked to share the information with their friends, contact the media, make signs in support of Love. marriage equality etc and wear the rainbow.
